After securing their first win of the season, the Sheffield Sabres can now look forward to a streak of home games in the brand new home of the Sabres, Norton Playing Fields. Their first match will be a tough one as they face the 0-2 LJMU Fury. Don’t let the record fool you, LJMU in their two games have put up a combined 75 points, only losing out by a few points to the UCLan Rams on each occasion.
So far in this season it has been a tale of two teams for the Sheffield Sabres, with the offense struggling against Hallam, the defence held strong with 5 sacks and only allowing Hallam to average less than 2-yards per play. Against the Manchester Tyrants it was a different story as the defence had a roller-coaster of a day by allowing the Tyrants to score 25 points. Meanwhile the offense took over by scoring 7 touchdowns and 0 sacks allowed.
The result of this match will depend on if the defence that faced Hallam show up and if the offense can carry over their recent form as LJMU will look to get their first win of the season. The match will start from 1pm this Sunday at the Norton Playing Fields.
